A Little About Me

My name is Kaleigh Heljenek. I’m 22 year old, a mostly self-taught photographer, equestrian, college student, and proud animal lover.

I go to school at Stockton University in Galloway, New Jersey and am majoring in Biology with a minor in Digital Literacy! My main goal is to become a large animal veterinarian who focuses on equine and food animals, and likely small ruminants as well. I would also love to become more knowledgeable about equine lameness to help horses with undiagnosed lameness issues!

After discovering my love for photography in high school, I decided to pursue my photography passion and create Ruby Roan Photography.


When my beloved horse Potato passed away, I realized how important the pictures of our memories were to me.


My goal is to take memorable pictures of those with their animals to forever create that special memory, so when they're gone one day, you will always have those sweet memories to look back on.
